After you have either registered by visiting the enrollment centre or update your details online/offline, download your aadhaar card. This article will list down the easy steps on how you can download Aadhaar card. You can check the status of your Aadhaar card first. Once it is ready for download you can either receive it by post or download it online and then print it.

These are the following details you should be ready with while downloading your Aadhaar card:
In case you have lost your Aadhaar card number/ enrollment number you can still download Aadhaar card by just using your full name and date of birth as mentioned in the Aadhaar card. In most of the cases, you will just need your full name.
Step 1: Go to the official UIDAI portal by clicking here
Step 2: Under the tab of aadhaar enrolment you will see the last option of ‘Retrieve lost UID/EID‘. Click on that.
Step 3: A new tab will open. In the first section select if you have lost your UID/EID. In case you already had an Aadhaar card which you lost select the first option. In case you have registered for Aadhaar and lost your enrollment slip, click on the second option.
Step 4: Then enter your name, email and mobile number as mentioned in Aadhaar card. Click on ‘Send OTP‘.
Step 5: Verify the OTP sent in the third column. Click on ‘Verify OTP‘
Step 6: You will instantly receive your UID/EID on your mobile number as well as via email. Then go to UIDAI portal again by clicking here.
Step 7: Under the ‘Aadhaar enrolment’ tab click on ‘Download Aadhaar‘
Step 8: It will open a new tab. Select if you have enrollment number or Aadhaar number. Fill all the details like EID/ UID, full name, mobile number and pin code.
Step 9: You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number. Verify the OTP and then click on ‘Validate and download’
A PDF document will be downloaded. In case it asks for a password to open the file, The password is your PIN code.
You can not download Aadhaar without providing any phone number. In case you have not registered your mobile, you can do it by visiting your nearest enrollment centre. To download your aadhaar card follow the steps from (Step 6-Step 9) as mentioned above. Provide your registered mobile number to receive an OTP for verification. In case your registered number is unavailable, you can put any mobile number on which you want to receive the OTP.
In case you have your aadhaar number in handy, you can download your Aadhaar card easily. Follow steps 6-9 as mentioned above. Remember to mention your Aadhaar number correctly to avoid unnecessary delays.
You can not update the details of your Aadhaar card without providing a mobile number. For the purpose of updating you need to provide your registered mobile number. If you have not registered your mobile number, you can do it by visiting your nearest enrollment centre. Only for the purpose of download, you can choose to provide any valid mobile number in order to receive the OTP.
