How to Check SBI Bank Account Balance Online

It is very easy to check your SBI account balance without having to go to the bank. You can check in any of the following ways:

Check SBI account balance through Internet Banking

To check your balance through net banking, please follow the given steps:

  1. Log on to the official SBI website.
  2. Click on ‘Login’ under ‘Personal Banking’.
  3. Enter your username and password.
  4. Now click on the ‘Click here for balance’ option.
  5. You can then view your balance as well as the last 10 transactions.

Note – To use this facility you must have signed up for internet banking. If you haven’t, you can do so by visiting the bank.


Check SBI account balance through SBI Freedom App

You can check your balance using the SBI Freedom app if you have an Android, Windows, iOS or Blackberry phone. Just follow the given steps:

  1. Login with your mobile banking user ID and PIN.
  2. Click on ‘My Accounts’ → ‘Balance Enquiry’.

Note – You can also check your balance from the SBI Anywhere app.


Check SBI account balance through SBI Quick App

You can check your balance using the SBI Quick app if you have an Android, Windows, iOS or Blackberry phone. You can either download the app from the respective app store, or access the SBI Quick facility in the pre-login section of the SBI Anywhere app.

What is the advantage of using SBI Quick?

  1. Once the app is installed you don’t need internet connection to use it. The communication then happens over SMS or missed call.
  2. Also, there is no login id or password required. You just need to do a one-time registration from the mobile number which is updated with the bank. The process for one-time registration is explained ahead.

Check SBI account balance by giving Missed Call or SMS

To find out your account balance through missed call or SMS, your mobile number must be updated in your account. Also, a one time registration process is required for this service. To register, follow the given steps:

  1. SMS ‘REG<space>Account Number’ to 09223488888 from your registered mobile number for that particular account. Example – REG 12345678912
  2. You will then receive a confirmation message indicating successful/unsuccessful registration.

Notes –

  • If the registration is successful, you can start using the service.
  • If the registration is unsuccessful, check the SMS format and mobile number. Also, ensure that you are messaging from the mobile number which is updated with the bank.

To find out balance through Missed Call-

  • Give a missed call to 09223766666 from your registered mobile number.
  • You will receive a message with your balance details.

To find out balance through SMS

  • SMS ‘BAL’ to 09223766666 from your registered mobile number.
  • You will receive a message with your balance details.

Note – This is a free service offered by SBI. However, SMS charges will apply as per your bill plan. Also, the missed call if free, but if you listen to the SBI message played after 4-5 rings you will be charged for those few seconds according to your bill plan.

You can also check your balance simply by going to your nearest ATM or bank branch.
